Floor Project - Christmas time 2005
House Projects September 26th, 2007This view is from the hallway looking toward the bathroom (left), office (center), and front door (right). There was carpet in the bathroom and the office. Of course you can see the tile in the entry way and hallway.
This view is from the nook toward the family room. The kitchen/nook had 3 layers of flooring on it (where Noah is). Rex and I are measuring how much carpet we are going to cut out by the island and back door.
Noah and I busting tile to bits!
You can see the carpet is gone from the bathroom and office…
The kitchen is finally torn apart…
Darcy worked hard in that dishwasher spot! There was no way we were gonna have the dishwasher on top of old floor!
In front of the island was all carpet, so we created our own line.
After Noah and I busted the tile apart, Rex and I poured six 50 pound bags of cement to level out the surface. It looked like the moon before that!
The first section of laminate goes down - Antique Oak planks with a beveled edge.
Much improved!
The front entry.
This is a decent representation of the chaos we lived in for about 50 days.
Hallway, bathroom, and office - no transition pieces!

Many times I tried to figure out, what are people talking about here and what they mean by saying stuff like that. And I realized that they just don’t have a clue about the topic themselves. It’s kinda strange. Anyway I have to say that you mast understand, what’s really doing on to comment things. Otherwise you will look and sound stupid.
